Solution
In collaboration with their technology partner and manufacturer QDP.nl in the Netherlands, a member of the Carbon Production Network, CarboXtrem developed and produced state-of-the-art saddles, grips, and arm pads. The intricate lattice structures provide targeted support and comfort through advanced 3D printing technology.
The ideal material for these products is Carbon’s EPU 41. Not only is it lightweight, durable, and flexible, but it retains these properties in cold temperatures (down to -10°C). It’s also ideal for triathletes and duathletes, because EPU 41 dries extremely quickly during transitions. In addition, parts printed using EPU 41 have passed ISO 10993-10 biocompatibility testing for skin sensitization.
Product Expansion
Since its launch, CarboXtrem has introduced several models catering to different cycling disciplines, including road cycling, triathlons, and mountain biking. These products have been rigorously tested by professional cyclists and are now used in multiple disciplines and competitions.
