Tech Tip: Relining and Repairing Lucitone Digital Print Dentures

A major benefit of Lucitone Digital Print™ 3D Denture Base Resin dentures is fast and easy reproducibility if a denture is lost or damaged by simply re-printing. Occasionally however we are asked if it is possible to repair or do a hard/soft reline of an LDP denture, so we want to share a list of compatible materials with you here.
(Note: There is no way to successfully do a lab processed hard or soft reline to LDP as there is too much heat involved in those processes.)

  • For chairside soft relines, Dentsply recommends these for LDP: Tokuyama Sofreliner Tough, GS Reline II (3 versions; Soft, Extra Soft, Extra Extra Soft)
  • For lab hard relines Dentsply recommends using their HIPA – High Impact Pourable Material
  • For general repairs any cold-cure acrylic can be used but Dentsply has only validated their HIPA material
  • For tooth replacement or denture fracture repair Dentsply recommends using the Lucitone Digital Fuse 1/2/3 products
