Digital Light Synthesis™ technology harnesses light and oxygen to grow solid parts from pools of resin.
Step 1: Scan
Riddell’s Precision-Fit advanced head scanning produces a custom digital model.
Step 2: Inverse Design
Combining Riddell’s model with data from on-field impacts, the Carbon Lattice Engine automatically designs and simulates over 1,000 options and selects the optimal lattice liner for that athlete.
Step 3: Print
Carbon printers produce the lattice liner parts with Digital Light Synthesis™ technology using a highly damping elastomer from Carbon, custom designed specifically to meet Riddell’s rigorous performance requirements.
Step 4: Assemble
The Carbon DLS™-printed, custom fit, impact absorbing lattice helmet liner designed to advance the state-of-the-art in head protection is used to create the Riddell SpeedFlex Precision Diamond Helmet.
Step 5: Play with Next Gen Protection
Players use the Diamond helmet, which is made up of more than 140,000 individual struts, carefully orchestrated into patterns for attenuating impact forces while providing excellent comfort and fit.
