New Generative Design and Lattice Design capabilities with Carbon
On Tuesday Nov. 15 10:00-10:20 am on the TCT Introducing stage, Carbon will share a real-world example highlighting the efficiencies that can be produced by using new generative design and lattice design capabilities – step by step. Once a designer imports files from CAD into the Carbon Software Platform, they can access a wide variety of materials, from polymers to metals. From there, an engineer can evaluate a broad range of scenarios including analyzing additive manufacturing compared to traditional manufacturing, material substitutions, and multi-material designs. They can also optimize the orientation of the part and generate supports to prepare the part to be printed, prototype with additive or traditional processes, and finally close out with inspection analysis and feedback loop.
